Raman Spectroscopy and its Applications in Upstream and Downstream Bioprocessing

Raman spectroscopy is a spectroscopic analysis technology that is gaining rapid adoption in bioprocess. As both a qualitative and quantitative assessment tool, it is able to simultaneously measure multiple key process parameters such as glucose, lactate, end product concentration/titer, viability, glycosylation with high specificity, making it a great tool for both upstream and downstream bioprocessing.

In this webinar, you’ll learn:
• The physics behind Raman spectroscopy
• Raman spectroscopy data processing steps
• The advantages of Raman over NIR spectroscopy
• Many applications of Raman spectroscopy in upstream and downstream bioprocessing
• Examples from literature, such as multivariate analysis of glucose and lactate from 25 bioreactors running in parallel, protein glycosylation detection, and comparison of online Raman spectroscopy measurements to many well-known atline and offline measurement methods
• How HTVS (High-Throughput Virtual Slit) technology from Tornado Spectral Systems provides better sensitivity for lower detection limits

Who should attend:
Anyone who works in upstream or downstream bioprocessing who would like to learn about process analytical technology tools and Raman spectroscopy, from R&D labs to process development to manufacturing.
• Scientists and associates
• PAT scientists
• Researchers in the industry and in academia
